Stop worrying about what other people think.

When you spend time wondering what other people think, you are not paying your time wisely.

Here's why.

What other people think and do is none of your business, and you have no control over what other people say and do.

So why do so many of us give away our power (AKA thoughts and feelings) to someone else?

And usually, with people, we don't even really like!

It's simple.

You do this because you aren't managing your mind.

You're letting your mind control you.

When you let that happen, your thoughts become like a train that has gone off the tracks.

The good news is that it doesn't have to be that way.

Listen, we all have some annoying behavior patterns, but you have the power to decide and choose something else if you want.

Value yourself and your precious limited energy. We wake up every day with a certain amount of energy. How do you want to spend it?

Here are some questions to ask yourself when you notice you are feeling a little low on self-confidence and are thinking more about what others think of you than what you think about yourself.

Write it down.

Getting thoughts out of your brain and on paper is truly the best way to see what's bothering you.

Plus, you can look at your thoughts more objectively once you write them down.

-Why am I feeling this way right now?

-Is this a pattern, or did something specifically happen?

-Why do I care?

-What am I choosing to believe to be true about myself by thinking this?

-Is thinking this thought taking my attention away from doing something else that is important?

Practice some self-love.

Do something that makes you feel good.

Play some music, go for a walk, listen to something you enjoy, and try to laugh.

Being human is hard enough sometimes. Let's cut ourselves some slack.
